29 May 2011 Eastern Bali

We left Padang Bai harbor at 5:30, trolling on the way to Nusa penida, near nusa penida Arvid cought small skipjack, not long after that we saw a school of skipjack near the island of nusa penida but we didnt manage to catch any. we try to go jigging no luck because the current is so strong we need at 500 gram ++. then wind start picking up so we went back to Bali and headed to padang bai. try to spearfishing on the right side of the harbor there is beautiful reef but the problem is there under current, so is lick a giant whirlpol. but the good thing there is few snapper, turtle and giant 2 meter murray eel. we didnt manage to shot anything. so we decided to go to mangis instead. the water visibilty was excellent. the dive minimum is 10 meter and mostly was above 13-15 meter. A lot of snapper, GT, Baracuda and yellowtail. I approach 25 kg baracuda but i took a shot directly from the top and I Miss the shot. Arvid miss 4 kg GT, I lost yellowtail because it got off the spear. so we end up with 2 kg barracuda, 1 kg trevally  and skipjack. Overall it was a nice dive with excellent visibilty.
